Clean Water & Sanitation
To achieve this goal, we invest in water conservation technologies and practices in our social units, such as installing low-consumption devices and regularly maintaining water systems. Additionally, we promote awareness among our employees about the importance of water conservation and preserving the quality of this vital resource. To assess and improve our performance, we implement monitoring systems that evaluate water consumption and its environmental impacts, adjusting our practices based on the results.
Affordable and clean energy
We are committed to providing reliable, sustainable, and modern energy sources for all. To achieve this goal, we are expanding our solar power production unit for self-consumption at Unit 1, with the installation of a Solar Carport, which will not only produce energy for self-consumption but also enable electric vehicle charging. Our plans also include installing a new solar power production unit for self-consumption at Unit 2.

Decent work and economic growth
Creating quality jobs and work opportunities for the local community and beyond is one of our commitments. We ensure fair wages and adequate working conditions, promoting gender equality and combating labor exploitation. We are committed through our NET ZERO ROAD MAP to reducing environmental impact by introducing the best available technologies.
Reduced inequalities
To achieve this goal, we focus on conducting psychosocial consultations, including questions to calculate the proportion of workers who have felt discriminated against or harassed. Additionally, we promote diversity and equality by leveraging our workers’ skills dissemination network.
Sustainable cities and communities
We demonstrate our commitment to the community by offering (during the COVID pandemic) external coverage to Leiria Hospital and by participating in the construction of the Green Park in this city, contributing to a more inclusive and equitable environment.
Responsible consumption and production
This commitment is reflected in our NET ZERO ROAD MAP, where we pursue carbon neutrality, and with studies on CIRCULAR ECONOMY, promoting more efficient and low-impact production practices. Additionally, we are committed to studying sustainable alternatives, such as replacing solvents with mixtures free of Volatile Organic Compounds, contributing to more responsible and ecological consumption and production.
Climate action
With the aim of achieving this goal, we are committed to reducing carbon emissions in our operations by transitioning to renewable energy sources and implementing energy efficiency practices (see our NET ZERO ROAD MAP). Additionally, we promote sustainable supplier management, requiring responsible practices in our supply chain.
Life below water
In this field, we plan to conduct education and awareness programs for workers, clients, and communities about the importance of marine life and the need for its preservation. We also aim to promote volunteering by granting workers one day of ecological volunteering per year.
Life on land
We aim to achieve this goal by reducing the use of chemical mixtures that may harm terrestrial life. Additionally, we promote environmental education on this topic by conducting awareness and education programs for our workers, clients, and communities. We will also attempt to separate cigarette butts in smoking areas of the Factory Units, through the study of possible implementation of the BEAT THE BUTT Project.
Peace, justice and strong institutions
Our commitment is based on promoting peace, justice, and effective management in all our operations and partnerships. This includes strict respect for human rights, combating corruption, and promoting an ethical business culture.
