AUTOPORTANTE® Self-supporting

The Blocotelha self-supporting system is made up of long, metal, whole profiles which can be either flat or arched, and which are supported only at the end of the profile, allowing free spans of up to 30 meters.
The self-supporting system is characterized by the fact that it does not need any traditional trusses to support the roof.

Pioneered by Blocotelha

This solution was pioneered by Blocotelha on the Portuguese market and can be used in both metal framed and reinforced concrete buildings. This system is greatly appreciated by architects because it is clean and simple and can be used to create an aesthetically simple effect.

DESIGN, FLEXIBILITY AND REDUCED WEIGHT

Unbeatable speed of assembly

The self-supporting system is unbeatable for speed of assembly, too. As well as allowing assembly on site in record time, it also has a competitive price/quality ratio compared with other construction systems. Two different types of profiles are available – Omega and Trapezoidal – adjusted to the needs of each project.

OMEGA PROFILES

The Omega-type tile profiles, closely identified with the company itself, have been introduced to the Portuguese market by Blocotelha, constituting an absolute novelty, both for its unique geometry and for its application never seen to date. Especially suitable for large self-supporting roofs, up to 30 meters free, they still represent an excellent value for money.

TRAPEZOIDAL PROFILES

With a more familiar geometry, usually seen in the facades of industrial buildings in reduced height versions, its application in self-supporting roofs was initiated in Portugal by Blocotelha. With the self-supporting system, the need to interpose the traditional roof support frames is eliminated. Our self-supporting tiles are long metal profiles, without section, flat or arched, resting only at the ends. This solution can be applied to buildings with a metallic structure or reinforced concrete.
